Technical GIS Specialist  

The Technical Manager will be a single person who has technical expertise in all aspects of information technology management, geospatial analysis including GIS, remote sensing, programming and cartographic production. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Management and Administration ?Develops project plans to implement strategic program goals. Conducts project assessment and performs task planning to identify milestones resource needs, schedule, and budget recommendations. ?Plans, leads and manages tasks such as needs assessment, design, implementation and evaluation; ?Provides top-level technical support for a staff of research analysts, application engineers, and GIS professionals ?Oversees multiple projects and support project leaders in managing project teams; ?Leads proposal development efforts, prepare grant applications, support project development and institute outreach efforts; and act as senior technical editor for all documents; ?Oversees the performance of the Service Provider as per the service level agreement; ?Interacts daily with the technical staff of the Service Provider; ...
